Coo' Kew Gardens

On Friday, our last trip together as a group was to Kew Gardens.

That place is huge! It is a botanical garden that has lots of little green-houses with more extremely weather/temperature plants, and then areas outside set apart for certain types of trees and stuff (bamboo, red woods, etc.)

It was fun! The very first thing Emma and I did was stop by this pond/little lake thing right by the entrance. As we were sitting there, enjoying the seen, about fifteen birds swarmed us! I guess where we sat is where people usually feed the birds so we had hungry swans, ducks, and some other weird birds come surround us. And they literally surrounded us...they came from the back, the front and all sides. I was a little bit concerned...

In fact...

Here is a video about the attack, haha!

The best part were the butterflies and turtles, for sure! They were in this giant green-house that was divided into multiple zones based on the plants and temperatures needed. It was really neat. The rain forest section was awesome.

We ran into Ross and Tiffany and decided to go find the Red Wood forest together. That was a little depressing...pretty sure there was only ONE red wood in the "forest." Oh well. We got photos of us hugging it! That is all that matters, right?

I was glad that we went. It was a really laid-back trip and it was easy to just enjoy the area and not stress about school (which was a welcome break).
